Most students do not have a significant other and thus they tend to spend valentines in denial and loneliness.

You can choose a location that is exciting such as a picnic location or a museum which is far off. Make the travel memorable and exciting by travelling with others. Mostly travel to locations that will force you to walk some distances that can make you feel tired and exhilarated at the same time. - Do something nice for someone. On Valentine’s, you can choose to engage in charitable acts that demonstrate your love and care for someone especially someone that is not related to you. It can be a sickly neighbour that you can help to wash dishes and spend time with them. It can be an elderly couple that you can stay with during valentine’s day.
- Keep your phone off during valentines. It can be very exciting if you choose to have a phone off day. This is when you keep your phone away and avoid social media altogether. This will ensure that you do not feel depressed when others upload photos of themselves.
- Visit your parents. One of the best ways to spend your valentines is to spend the day with your parents. Offer to cook for them and wash dishes for them. Taking your time off and seeing your parents and helping them it can be very fulfilling.
