Purpose: The purpose of this task is to craft a form of digital storytelling that is suitable for a
specific target public audience.
Task: Students are to required to create a rationale, subscriber plan, title and sample post for a digital newsletter for a platform such as Substack. The topic of your newsletter and post is up to you, but it must:
Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts and strategies of digital storytelling covered in Weeks 1-2 include at least one link, one image and one video relevant to the topic of your sample post sample post should be 800 words, rationale and subscriber plan should be 250 words
The content and activities for Week 2 – ‘Digital storytelling’ – will be essential for this task.

A clear understanding of the principles of digital storytelling covered in lectures and tutorials
An engaging and well-informed point of view
Coherent design and layout
A rationale, subscriber plan and writing style that displays familiarity with stylistic elements of digital newsletters covered in unit materials
Appropriate use of images, videos and links
Attention to detail and proofreading
